The Best Places to Take Engagement Photos in Tampa Bay |Local Photographer Guide

Choosing the perfect location for your engagement photos is such a huge part of the storytelling process. Tampa Bay is filled with so many beautiful and diverse location opportunities, from beaches and parks to quiet downtown vibes and skyscrapers.

As a local Tampa Bay engagement photographer, these are my tried-and-true favorite spots. These are places that help bring out connection and provide a backdrop that my couples always love.

Pass-a-Grille Beach

Pass-a-Grille is one of my favorite places to take engagement photos in Tampa Bay because of its wide-open shoreline and grassy dunes. The space allows for natural movement, beautiful colors, and dreamy shots where you can fully be yourselves.

Sawgrass Lake Park

Sawgrass Lake Park has an ethereal, fairytale feel thanks to its lush greenery, ponds, and gorgeous boardwalks (look at the lily pads!!) filtered light through the trees makes it one of the most stunning nature locations for Tampa Bay engagement photos.

Upham Beach

If you’re looking for a beach with a little more visual interest, Upham Beach’s rock formations add depth, texture, and adventure to your photos. It’s perfect for couples who want something beachy but unique.

Celery Fields

While it’s technically in Sarasota (arguably still in Tampa bay so just go with it), Celery Fields is absolutely worth the drive. The sweeping green hills are rare for South Florida and glow beautifully during golden hour. It's a top pick for couples wanting a natural, cinematic backdrop.

University of Tampa (Henry B. Plant Museum)

With stunning Moorish architecture, bold archways, and unique details, the University of Tampa’s Henry B. Plant Museum is one of the most iconic engagement photo locations in Tampa. Its proximity to downtown also makes it easy to pair two looks in one session.

Hunsader Farms

Hunsader Farms gives you bright, romantic florals that photograph beautifully year-round. For the best results, visit during the morning or golden hour in spring or fall when the fields are most vibrant.
